Art for Everyday: Hand dyed fabric and textiles Everything I sell is designed to be strong, washable and useful. I believe in functional art for everyday living. I hand dye high quality cotton fabric with fiber reactive dyes in a variety of traditional, even ancient techniques. The dyes are extremely colorfast, washable and nontoxic. I use low water immersion dyeing, shibori hand stitching, wood block printing and hand painting. With these techniques tiny differences in method – via hand stitching and folding, temperature and batching length - all affect the result such that every piece is purposely unique. I sell this fabric as well as handmade products I create from these hand dyed fabrics. I measure and weigh carefully to maintain consistency of color to match my product photos, but the textures and patterns within each color will be singular to your purchase. My fabrics are not digital prints; your products will be heirloom quality pieces you can use to make your home your haven.
