Welcome to Center Street Soap Co., I'm Joy Benzing and I want to create the most desirable bar of soap you can get your hands on. I've always had sensitive skin and didn't realize that the big brand 'soaps' I grew up using, were not actually soap, but detergent concoctions that are stripped of glycerin (the good stuff for healthy, moisturized skin). Then a few years back at a farmers market, I was finally introduced to the moisturizing magic of handmade, high quality bar soap. For the first time, my skin felt smooth and healthy after each wash. I quickly started messing around in my kitchen and crafting my own perfect (and sometimes imperfect) recipe's. After mastering the function of cold-processed handmade soap, I moved into my own studio space and have been able to focus on the art behind each lovely soap loaf. Every small batch of our soap is handmade with incredible attention to detail, Phthalate free fragrances, all natural butters, oils, and essential oils.
