Chic Mama Jewelry

My name is April....I am the wife of a fireman, mother to three beautiful children, former school teacher, photographer and metalsmith by trade. I started making jewelry shortly after our first son was born. Joshua was born at 31 weeks and weighed just 2 pounds and 7 ounces. He spent 58 days in the NICU apart from us and there were some nights we wondered if we would ever get the chance to welcome him home. During his stay in the NICU, I began researching about hand stamped jewelry. In our time apart, I desperately needed something close to my heart to symbolize our togetherness. I knew I couldn't hold him close whenever I wanted to, so having his name close to my heart helped renew my spirit. After being released from the NICU, I began making a few necklaces for other NICU mommies, and shortly after I found myself being called to do something so much greater. I wanted to share my story and connect with others moms who had similar experiences. From this, Chic Mama Jewelry was born. Each year, we donate a percentage of our sales to our local hospital NICU families. Our team stamps each item by hand so your item is truly a unique keepsake. We hope you love your handmade item. T
