Welcome to Dashing Ceramics. I'm Lynessa Thompson, and I've been making pottery for 10 years, since I was 21. I took my first Ceramics class in college and fell in love with clay. I have practiced many hours since then, making thousands of pots and selling them across the world. I make a lot of fantasy based items like mugs (something I used to hate making but now quite enjoy), sourdough crocks, french butter keepers, canisters and tea sets. You name it and I can probably make it. I started selling pots very part time in 2017 and had a hard time in the coming years with supply quality and making a small studio space to work from. I work from a shed in our yard with a couple of kilns. I don't mind the small space, it's mine and I love it. Clarence joined me in pottery when we went to full time pottery as our business in 2020 selling a lot of kitchenware like sourdough crocks. I am constantly exploring and testing out new glazes and adding pieces to my pots to give them more character. I love creating unique items that people can cherish, and share in the joy of my art form. Thank you for enjoying my art, I love the light that it brings to people's lives.
