I'm David Bowman, the award-winning jeweler behind Desert Chains. Desert Chains is the home for my high-end chain mail jewelry, featuring chain and link bracelets and necklaces in a wide variety of styles: from thin, minimalist designs to wide, heavy bracelets. There's something to match nearly any style. All pieces are in sterling silver and 14K gold fill, and they are all handmade. Each piece starts as a spool of sterling silver or 14K gold fill wire, from which I make rings for weaving. Something unique: rings are welded closed for long-lasting wear and beauty. Most of the pieces you'll find here are chain and link bracelets, but I also have some great designs for necklaces and chokers. Every piece I make is a design I love. Whenever I create a new design, my wife says, “Oh, I’ll wear that!” Fun fact: I made the jewelry she wore when we got married.
