Welcome to Driftsea Creations! We are a mother/daughter team transforming beach finds from around New England & Florida into art that will make you smile. Our journey started when my grandfather passed away. He and my grandmother always walked the beaches together and we wanted to make her a memorial artwork featuring their treasures. Everyone loved it so we just kept going! Each of our photos features natural sea glass found along the beaches of Massachusetts. It is very important to us to respect the natural features of the sea glass so we do not color, reshape or tumble any of the glass used in our works. Alongside glass we also use beach rocks, river rocks, driftwood, shells, sand, sea pottery, coral and anything else we stumble across on the beach. Sustainability is very important to us so we always beach-comb in moderation and make sure to pick up any trash or recyclables we find along the way. We never collect shells, sand dollars or any other sea life that is living and try to respect the natural balance of the beach ecosystem. All of our pictures come in a shadowbox frame with glass on the front. This helps protect the picture from dust, moisture, & more.
