Welcome to “from the Villa,” my unique store specializing in handmade purses, handbags, and tote bags which are created with materials that make a well-structured and soft finished product. I enjoy choosing sturdy fabrics chosen for their themes and beauty. Many of these fabrics are cotton canvas, but I like to select upholstery fabrics and novelty fabrics from time to time. My hand bags are created in the Villa where I retired from my careers as a registered nurse and licensed professional counselor. Hence the store’s name “from the Villa.” I use two sewing machines in producing my hand bags. My Janome Memory Craft 6600 is my primary machine, but I switch to my Singer Heavyweight to do the finishing sewing through the multiple layers I am working with at that point. My hand bags are made with care, and with foam stabilizer, which gives them a unique sturdiness and softness. I hope you enjoy the selection. Please enjoy browsing my store.
