Ever since I was a little girl, I remember browsing antique stores and flea markets with the women of my family, recycling used items and passing along my clothes to relatives still living in Georgia (not the state!). My love for vintage items has strongly influenced my foray into crafting things that hold sentimental value. The recent passing of my beloved grandparents inspired me to appreciate bits of history that can still be preserved and even built upon like a foundation. After all, what is life if not a giant web of experiences interconnected through humanity's history? I had a few antique postcards laying around the house and thought to myself how unfortunate it would be for them to get lost or lie forgotten inside dusty photo albums. They were so beautiful, with intricate illustrations and short messages scribbled on the back, written by people who are long gone. I decided to use them as covers for blank journals. In this way, small moments will not be lost to time. Instead, they will be admired and cherished by anyone who purchases my journals. You can leave pieces of yourself all over the pages, right beside a fleeting memory.
