Halvorson Studio

Greetings and Welcome to Halvorson Studio! I create Japanese gouache greeting cards, postcards, prints, originals, coasters, magnets and ornaments with a botanical and Nordic aesthetic. My Norwegian grandmother, who was a teacher, facilitated my love of greeting cards as a child. When we would visit her home in Lakeland, Florida, in between visiting the sights and playing croquet in the backyard, we would simmer down with card stamping, coloring, and embossing with gold mica powder in her sunroom after playing rummikub with the family. I hope to bring tradition, values and tenderness with every piece I make, as my grandmother would often say "It means more when you stamp it yourself."
