Hi People! Welcome to my little corner of the world. Thanks for stopping by. HipChicksDesign was a dream of mine back in late 90's after the birth of my daughter. I was looking forward to the day when I could teach her all the crafting techniques I loved. About 10 years before her birth I taught myself crochet. I picked up a bag of yarn leftovers, a hook and some simple instructions (this was before there was Google!) and I made my newborn son a blanket for his crib. It took me over a month to complete and I used simple stitches but I was in love with crocheting. Soon I had people requesting I make them things and before I knew I had a side hustle. Over the years I designed a line of whimsical tote bags and cute animal hats and eventually published the patterns to make them as a DIY. Currently, my now grown, adult daughter and my daughter-in-law all enjoy crafting and share in their parts as the "HipChicks" to my "Design".
