Welcome to Designs by Jessica! My work is a bit ecclectic, as are my interests, which include purebred dogs and all that they do, as well as my love for simple watercolor designs of various subjects, some digital art, as well as full scenes with a magical feel and use of lights and contrasts and textile art! Watercolors: I love to work with light and airy colors when creating my portraits but I also like to bring in some bright and dark colors and contrasting textures, to create a more 2D, layered, magical feel, in my complex watercolor paintings. Those paintings also have a lot of influence from British and Irish rock art/carvings, which include swirls and textures layered over base layers. Illustrations: I like to use a combination of watercolors and ink pen. I like the simiplicity of the illustrations that tell a story with only a few colors. I preivously did a lot of digital designs as well, but I like the unpredictability of using watercolor so I lean more towards watercolor. Rosettes: All rosettes are designed and handcrafted by me!
