Welcome to Ken's Custom Crafts In 2020 my family gifted me a Wen lathe and I taught myself how to do wood turning. I make smalls like pens, bottle openers, wine stoppers, etc. I started selling to friends a few years ago and thought I'd open a shop on Makerspace to see if I could expand my customer base. I am a full time IT admin/Linux system administrator and automation engineer which means typing on my keyboard all day. Getting into my garage shop and making things with my hands is refreshing and brings some balance to my week. I make stuff on my lathe in the hopes of making some extra cash in my spare time. I keep plenty busy with a full time job as well as being a husband, father and home owner. But having some balance and time in shop I find very good for the mental health, and anytime someone wants to buy something I make I find it so rewarding. Not just because I make a few bucks, but to have someone want something I made in my shop feels oh so very good.
