Welcome to Kumihimo Jo! Here you'll find kumihimo braided lanyards, keychains wristlets and jewelry crafted with love handwoven/handmade by a creative maker mama of 3 who battles with neuropathy. Each piece is a unique blend of art, heart and craft made just for you and yours! They're not always perfect (because of my kids and numb hands) but they are inspired by my boys and everyday life. Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese art of braiding and means "gathered threads" It dates back centuries and was used for samurai armor ties, obi cords for kimono and decorative accents. Each piece you'll find here is intricately woven with love and intention.
