Welcome to Laurie Mertens Design! I make handmade jewelry charms, mostly for earrings. Thank you for taking the time to look at my store! I've always had artistic talent but never had an opportunity to work with clay until late 2023. At first it was just pottery, but the lure of sculpting got me making animals and firing them. Then I had an idea to make chicken earrings. It was so much fun I moved on to penguins. Then it was swans. Now I have several adorable options for you to dangle from your ears. I was very surprised, delighted, and humbled at how much people liked the earrings as I made them, so I have decided to set up this little store to share my little creations with more people. When you get a pair of earrings from me you are getting two individually made pieces of art. No two pairs are alike, but they all have character. Enjoy browsing!
