Welcome to Mama tried candle co. custom handmade and hand poured candles, wax melts, incense, fires starters and car and closet diffusers. My Why: After losing my sweet mama to a very short but tough battle with colon cancer in September of 2020, Mama Tried Candle Co. Was born. It was born from my deep love and grief, I have found healing by paying it forward and helping others. It was the very spirit of who my mother was, She was a single mother, who worked at Walmart and put herself through college to become a teacher while my brother and I were in high school. We didn't have a lot growing up, but we had a mother who loved us fiercely and was devoted to us. She sacrificed and went without so we would have the basics. She fought through poverty and being on government assistance and not once did she ever give up..... She faced cancer with the same fierceness and determination. But after only 4 short months of battling colon cancer she died on September 20, 2020 By paying it forward and being a light for others who are on hospice and their families she lives on. Mama always tried, she never quit.
