Mary Gwyn's Art

Welcome to Mary Gwyn's Art. I'm Mary Gwyn, (2 first names) and I'm an artist, RN and art educator. I paint oil paintings of birds, flowers, landscapes and more, and teach Botanical-style watercolor flower painting. The little birds are my favorites to paint! I have been teaching botanical style painting for over 15 years in community education for a university and in a number of arts councils and guilds. Recently, I began teaching artist's workshop retreats. My latest art venture is live painting for church and other similar events. This has been a wonderful experience so far! As a nurse and artist, I completed a research project using art to help cardiac surgery patients. I am passionate about art's ability to help the healing process of people experiencing physical and mental health issues. As a painter since the age of eight, I believe Art is a Life-long Journey!
