Welcome! My name is Taralynn. I utilize a number of different mediums such as paint, wood, and paper and I generally use them individually or altogether to create visually appealing works of art that mostly thrives on balance and symmetry. I was eventually led to purchase my very own Cricut to help create all the things that I see in my head. It not only appeals to my love for geometric symmetry, but it also appeals to me love of different color combinations and mixed media. Interestingly enough, I felt like paint was limiting my creativity. As a person who can't really draw anything on their own, I rely on existing shapes to help me translate the ideas in my head into physical pieces of art. I still paint and I still love the canvases, but now I like to mix wood, canvas, and paper crafts together to create something that I otherwise wouldn't be able to do with just paint. Not only has this been a hidden passion, but it also became an activity that brought me solace, comfort, and it allowed me to ignore the world for a bit and just create.
