My absolute goal is to bring the beach to your home. I, Roman Gerardo (b. 1979 Havana, Cuba), am a visual artist focused on mixed media, fine art photography, and illustrations based in Miami Beach, Florida. Even though my vocation for photography started at a young age, I developed my interest in the visual arts through studies in Film, Broadcasting, and Art History. This, combined with my extensive career as an art consultant, has given me the opportunity to collaborate with significant figures in the contemporary art world. I've always been fascinated by seascapes and fine art aerial photography. Now, using a mix of very specific old-school and contemporary techniques, I create images imbued with beautiful aesthetics and an artsy allure. In these projects, I want to transport viewers to a new dimension where classic fine art and a contemporary perspective collide with the most intriguing, remarkable, and famous ocean location ever: South Beach." My idea is to create bright and clever art that requires more than just 'seeing' to truly interpret and 'get' what lies beneath the surface.
