Welcome to my Simply Hooked storefront! My name is Shelby, and I am the owner of Simply Hooked. I make a variety of crochet apparel, keychains and other goodies. My passion for fiber arts and crochet started when I was about 12. My Mom used to sit in her chair, and I was always mesmerized by what she could do with a hook and yarn. One quiet afternoon she taught me the basic stitches, and I was “hooked”. For years after that, I learned new stitches and developed my skills, mostly via YouTube tutorials and patterns. The art of crochet has been in my family for generations. My Maternal great grandmother did beautiful work, and learned how to crochet in blind school, after she was blind! I have quite a few of her creations, and they hold a special place in my heart. I love what I do, and am so happy to be a part of the MakerPlace Community of talented artists and creators!
