Hi, my name is Brenda and the name of my studio is Stones By Haven Creek, a play on words even tho Haven Creek is just a few steps away from my house. And I do search for gemstones in it! I use natural gemstones in most of the jewelry I create using quality materials with affordable prices. Chain Maille Jewelry is another passion of mine. Most people do not know the meaning of ‘Chain Maille’ which (known as chain maille or simply maille) is typically armor or jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. The word maille derives from the French word maille (mesh), which comes from Latin macula (mesh of a net). ... Using pliers, link the rings—one at a time—into a pattern. Many use aluminum rings which are very lightweight but I prefer to use other metals. Stainless Steel is my preferred metal but copper is another one. And I often use 18kt & Silver Plated which with care can last for years without tarnishing. Have a look, I think you be amazed at how attractive Chain Maille is. Brenda
