Krylon makes a remarkable variety of products, many of which will sound the same -- but they are not at all the same.  One must know what one was is doing!  For example, another reviewer here was complaining that something he'd used 'didn't work' on an oil painting; of course it didn't; for an oil painting, a 'Kamar' type or equivalent should've been used.  If one misuses a product, why be surprised when it 'doesn't work'?  It's odd, isn't it?  The more I know how to use something, the better it works.  Such a mystery.

I love Krylon products, and have used them for years, both personally as a homeowner, and professionally on major project installations around the world (most of which are open to the public).  For the record, my wife is a professional and has also used -- and loved Krylon products for years.  Among other things, she also does museum-level restorations, and her work is in little places like the Smithsonian and the Getty.

Krylon is *awesome*, and there are few products like it!  Please, please keep making your artist line of products!  There aren't many alternatives and none work as well as Krylon!

I've been painting for years and have always had good luck with Krylon spray varnishes.
I usually use Krylon Gallery Series UV Archival satin. You know, the green can.
My local store only had Krylon satin in the white can so I bought it.
I'm Varnishing an oil on board painting.
After spraying as usual, two coats two directions the finish dried with parts gloss and parts matt.
I've tried respraying and it does not change the finish. It's still parts gloss and parts matt.
Now I have to remove the varnish.
