This makes a great gift or and can be used as a night light! It's great for beginners or experienced artists looking for a fun new way to diamond paint. How does it work? The lamp holds the corresponding number or symbol for each diamond color provided in the kit. The diamond artist will peel back a portion of the plastic wrap on top of the lamp to allow for the diamond placement. The placement pen will then be dipped into the wax to allow it to stick to the diamonds (this is not done every time but only when the diamonds stop sticking to the placement pen). The diamonds being used are poured into the diamond holder tray and are picked up with the placement pen and placed down onto the uncovered area of the lamp. The adhesive on the lamp will stick to the diamond(s) releasing it from the placement pen. The corresponding number on the lamp is covered when the diamond is placed over it, showing only the sparkling color on top! This is repeated until all areas of the picture have a diamond placed onto it.<br>
