I used the box as part of the decorations on my Pirate themed table at an annual ladies lunch (our theme this year: Life's a Beach). I left the box unpainted (painting it may be a future project) and filled it with gold coins, strands of pearls and jeweled rings. On top I placed a small parrot (also purchased at Michael's). The table was a hit, with the treasure chest playing a starring role.

I have a build where I want to disguise my camera inside of a pirate's chest.  I had been using the 6.5" Wood Domed Box by Make Market for the build, when I noticed this wood box.  It is slightly bigger that the previous box.   With the accents of the pseudo leather straps and such, it looks much more like a pirates chest.  Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.....
