Extremely comfortable
I purchased a 5mm hook with the rubber handle because the metal hook I normally use, dug into my palms. I wasn’t sure how it would feel but I’m glad I made the purchase. Very comfortable handle. Definitely worth the cost.

The aluminum is just paint over plastic. Chipping on first time out. Junk! Very disappointing.

My favorite hook brand!
I randomly bought this one day because I needed a 4mm hook for a project and I really love it a lot! The grip as the handle doesn’t do much for me, but I love how the hook part is because the yarn can sit in it and not fall off!

Misleading
I ordered online since I don't live by a Michael's. This shows a picture with a black grip, but it came without the grip. Don't picture it if you don't sell it that way!!

My favorite hooks
I learned to crochet with the basic Susan Bates metal hooks but thanks to my self-taught grip that's reminiscent of a toddler holding a spoon, the metal ends rub the edge of my hand and can become painful after a while. These hooks completely solve the problem and allow me to crochet for hours without pain!
Since these are really just the basic Bates hooks with a bit of hard rubber on the end (it's not at all squishy), whether you like them or not will depend largely on if you like the original, unsheathed Bates hooks and whether you need the extra bit of padding. For those who crochet with a "pencil" grip with the end up away from your hand, or those who like a thick place to grip, these hooks aren't for them.
For people like me, who don't like a lot of bulk at the grip and who keep the hook nestled in their hand and need something to reduce the friction, these hooks are EXACTLY what's needed.

Worst hook I've ever used
The grip is in an awkward position so depending on how you hold your hook, it is uncomfortable. Yarn constantly slips as a result. Best to stick with all aluminum hooks or find one with a more intuitively placed grip.

Worst hook I’ve ever used
The hook was sort of squeaky (if that makes sense). It just didn’t feel good and got caught on the yarn multiple times. Just very hard to work with. Will never be buying this hook or types like it ever again.
