What is Michaels Rewards? Michaels Rewards is a FREE perks program for all our customers. It is designed to provide enhanced benefits for our customers, such as department-specific coupons, receipt-free returns, and advance notice of sales and special events.
As a member, you'll be rewarded with exclusive offers sent to you via email or at (upon login). The program is free; simply shop like you always do — and get rewarded for it.

How does it work?
When checking out in-store, you can apply your Rewards account by:

  1. Providing your phone number or email used when enrolling in the program.
  2. Logging in to from your phone to scan your digital Rewards card.
  3. Opening the Michaels App to scan your digital Rewards card (Rewards feature available in Michaels App June 15, 2016).

How does the Rewards Receipt-free Returns perk work?
By providing the information needed to look up your Rewards profile during in-store check-out or online, we are able to keep track of your purchases. So, if you need to return an item, we can look up your Rewards profile and locate the item without a receipt. We will then be able to provide a refund for the item, in accordance with our Return Policy, if purchased within the last 180 days. For more details, please see Our Return Policy Here.


Who is eligible to participate in Michaels Rewards?
Currently the Rewards program is only available in the U.S., but we’re exploring options to bring this exciting program to our Canadian customers. You must be at least 13 years old to enroll in the program.

Enroll in any U.S. Michaels store

  1. At checkout, you can enroll by providing your email and phone number.
  2. You will be sent a Welcome email with a link encouraging you to complete your profile online.
  3. To complete your profile online, you can click on the link and log in with the same email provided when you enrolled.
  4. Answer a few questions to complete your profile and begin receiving offers that are tailored to your crafting preferences.

Enroll online

  1. Go to Michaels.Com; click on Michaels Rewards in the top navigation.
    1. Prior to July 10, 2016, go to Michaels.Com/Rewards
  2. Create an account or login using your existing account.
  3. Complete your Rewards profile and select “Submit”.

Enroll using the Michaels App (App functionality may not be available before June 15)

  1. Download the Michaels App from your Android or iPhone store.
  2. Provide your email and password, and create your Michaels account in the app.
    1. If you already have an account that you created on, you can use that email and password in the app.
  3. Then, click on Michaels Rewards icon on top right. You can provide your phone number and accept the Terms & Conditions for Rewards enrollment.
  4. You will need to complete your profile on

What if I already have an email account registered with Michaels?
You can now add a Rewards profile to your account.

  1. Go to Michaels.Com; click on Michaels Rewards in the top navigation.
    1. Prior to July 10, 2016, go to Michaels.Com/Rewards
  2. Sign-in using the email and password you used when creating your account previously.
  3. You will be directed to Rewards sign-up page.
  4. Please complete the information.
  5. Once you click “Submit”, you will be directed to your Rewards landing page.

If you are enrolling in a store, please use the same email to enroll with Rewards. When you go online to complete your profile, you will simply sign in to your existing account with that email and password; click on Rewards. Then, complete the profile, and start receiving perks relevant to your preferences.

The next time you are in our store, you only need to provide your email or phone number at checkout to pull up your Rewards number. Or if you print your rewards card from your online account page, you can give this to the cashier to scan and pull up your Rewards account. Your digital card and barcode will also be available in the Michaels App after June 15, 2016.

What if I didn’t receive a Welcome email?

My friend got a special coupon offer, and I didn't. How do I get that offer?
Michaels Rewards is designed to give you offers tailored to you. Not all offers are available to all members. To receive offers more relevant to you, remember to complete your profile online and always provide your member ID or phone number to a cashier every time you shop.

Does it cost anything to be a member?
No — enrollment in the Michaels Rewards program is FREE!

Can I use my Rewards number when making purchases online?
Yes! Just make sure you sign-in to your account when shopping online, and your rewards number will be associated with any orders you place.


How do I find my Rewards offers?
You can log in at or your Michaels App (after June 15, 2016) to see your Rewards coupons and any other special offers or information exclusive to members.

I forgot my password. What do I do?
During the sign-in process, click the "Forgot your password?" link. You will be prompted to enter your email address. Click “Send”. Then, a new password will be sent to the email address associated with your online account.

Can I change my online profile email?
Yes! You can change your account email in the My Account section after you login. But the Rewards email you enrolled with will remain the same. If you need to change your Rewards email, you will need to go to the Rewards profile page, edit Rewards email and select “submit”. If you do not have access to your online account, please call Customer Service to change your Rewards email.

Why should I complete the Rewards profile?
Completing your profile lets us know what you love to create! This will help us to tailor offers that you will appreciate, notify you of events that you’ll enjoy, and send you a special coupon on your birthday.

If I don’t complete the profile, will I still get Rewards perks?
You are still enrolled in the Rewards program whether you complete your profile or not. But in order to take full advantage of the perks in the program, we simply ask you to complete the questions and opt in to receive emails. Also, when you provide your birthday (just month and day), we will send you a special reward when your birthday month arrives.

Why do I have to give you my phone number to enroll?
We will only use your phone number for enrollment and to look-up your account in-store. You will not be sent any text messages unless you opt-in for that feature on your account page. For more details, please see Our Privacy Policy Page Here.

Can I share my membership with a family member or friend?
Each Rewards profile is identified by a unique email and phone number combination. So in order to share your membership with family or friends, they would need to have that information. While this is possible, we encourage you to have your friends and family sign- up for their own membership, so they can complete the profile according to their personal interests and make the rewards most beneficial for them.


What emails will I receive as a Rewards member?
By providing us with a valid email address, you agree to the Programs Terms & Conditions and you will receive key program benefits, such as member-only coupons, early notification to upcoming sales and events, birthday coupon and other fabulous offers via email.

How do I stop receiving emails?
To opt out of email communications, log in to your account and go to My Account; you can click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any Michaels email you receive, or you can contact Customer Service.
