This looked like it had been used but that really didn't bother me--until I used it.  You have to stamp the outer ring and take that part off and then add the stamp.  It still does not come out that clear.  Unfortunately I had thrown away all the packaging so cannot return it.  I will use it with just the outside ring and forget about the date part.  Just want other to people know before they buy it.  Oh, there were absolutely no instructions on how to use it.
