Basics mediums and varnishes are developed for students and artists that need dependable quality at an economical price. Permanent matte varnish is used to protect finished paintings. Matte Varnish can be mixed with Gloss Varnish to vary the final finish sheen. Best applied with a large soft brush, it dries to a clear, non-yellowing finish.
